Albumen printing

Egg whites are used to make printing processes run more smoothly. Developed in the latter half of the 1840s by a Frenchman named Louis Desire Blanchard-Evrard (1802–72). This method was widely used up until the 1890s because it produced a clearer picture than earlier methods.
