Alberto Tandoi is an Italian photographer from Milan who lives and works in London. He studied design and discovered photography during an Erasmus exchange in Germany, then continued his photography studies in Milan. His work moves between fashion and documentary portraiture, and his fashion photographs have appeared in magazines including L’Officiel, Cosmopolitan and Fantastics.
His self-published book 400km (2024) collects portraits of strangers he met while walking through London. He chose people who caught his attention through their clothes and personal style, photographed them with a Mamiya RB67 on a tripod, and kept track of the places and the distance he walked, which reached 400 kilometres and gave the book its title.
