His book Cherry Trees was published by Kehrer Verlag in November 2024. He made the photographs in Japan in the spring of 2020, at the start of the Covid pandemic. He was there by chance. While the streets emptied, the cherry trees bloomed. Some of the pictures recall the dystopian anime and TV series he watched as a child. The book has texts by Julien Bouvard and Iizawa Kōtarō. The cover illustration is by Claude Eigan.
Cherry Trees is in the library collections of Harvard University, Columbia University, the New York Public Library, the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Getty Research Institute.
