Benjamin Rasmussen is a Faroese and American photographer. He grew up in the rural Philippines. Today he splits his time between Northern New Mexico, Denver and Los Angeles.
His work has been published in National Geographic, The New York Times, TIME, Vanity Fair and Wired, and exhibited internationally.
His book The Good Citizen was published by GOST Books in 2023. It has essays by Frank H. Wu and five chapters. Over eight years, Rasmussen travelled to 43 states and was introduced to more than 500 people. The book looks at American history and American identity.
In spring 2017, Time magazine invited him to photograph President Donald Trump inside the White House.
