Sarah Mei Herman is a Dutch photographer and visual artist. She was born in Amsterdam in 1980, and she lives and works there.
She studied photography at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and completed an MA in Photography at the Royal College of Art in London in 2010. Her work has been shown at the National Portrait Gallery in London, the Benaki Museum in Athens and Photo Elysée in Lausanne.
Her book Julian & Jonathan was published by GOST Books in 2025. It has 160 pages. It brings together more than 20 years of photographs of her half-brother Jonathan and her father Julian. Jonathan was born in 2001, when she was 20. Her earlier book Solace came out with The New Press in 2022.
