Stefan Czurda is an Austrian street photographer based in Vienna. He calls his approach conceptual street photography. In his series Urban Ghosts, he uses motion blur and abstraction to turn passers-by into ghostlike figures.
His other work includes the series Street Melancholy and Her Journey, and the project Horsemen of Memories, which shows Vienna's horse-drawn carriages as blurred figures. He received honorable mentions at the Paris International Street Photo Awards in 2023 and 2025, and at the Black & White Photo Awards in 2024. He was featured in Dodho Magazine and Edge of Humanity Magazine in 2024. In 2026 he was a finalist in the FUJIFILM House of Photography Photo Competition and published the book Conceptual Street Photography.
