Color grading

Changing and stylizing the colors of an image or film to create a certain mood or look. It goes further than color correction, which only aims to make colors accurate.

Color grading comes from filmmaking and is now common in photo editing. A typical example is warm skin tones against cool, teal shadows. See also split toning.
