Rencontres d'Arles

An annual photography festival in Arles, in the south of France. It was founded in 1970 by photographer Lucien Clergue, historian Jean-Maurice Rouquette and writer Michel Tournier.

Every summer the festival shows dozens of exhibitions in churches, chapels, industrial halls and other places around the town. It is one of the most important meeting points for photographers, curators and publishers.
