About Mas Context 

Mas Context is a Chicago based nonprofit editorial platform founded in 2009 that explores the built environment through architecture, design, photography, and critical writing. Working across disciplines, it commissions and publishes essays, photo projects, interviews, and themed journal issues by contributors from around the world.

Through its open access publications, exhibitions, and public programs, Mas Context encourages thoughtful reflection on how cities, spaces, and everyday environments shape cultural and social life.
