Merlin Daleman

Merlin Daleman is a Dutch-based documentary photographer originally from the West Midlands, UK. He studied at South Devon College in Torquay, the University of Central England (now Birmingham City University), and graduated from the Royal College of Art in The Hague. His work has appeared in leading Dutch publications including NRC Handelsblad, Dagblad Trouw, Financieel Dagblad, and De Groene Amsterdammer. Daleman is the recipient of the Silver Camera awards for Documentary Photography in the Netherlands in 2008 and 2010, and has been supported by the EU Journalism Foundation Grant and the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship. His long-term projects have explored subjects ranging from the new black lung epidemic in Kentucky, USA, to the lives of families separated by labour migration in Ukraine.
