Danielle L Goldstein

Danielle L Goldstein is a photographer based in New York City. She studied history at Cornell University and law at Emory University. She picked up a camera in her late 40s. Her work has been exhibited in galleries in the United States, Europe and Asia. It is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of the City of New York. It also appears in the book Women Street Photographers (Prestel, 2021).

Her book Transience was published by Schilt Publishing & Gallery in 2025. It began in a hotel room in Seville, Spain, where she made a self-portrait. Since then she has photographed herself in every hotel room she has stayed in. Over time she also photographed others, such as her children. The project became a diary of her life. The book has 62 photographs and 138 pages. Her daughter, Caroline Goldstein, wrote the essays.
