Iwauko Murakami is a Japanese photographer. She was born in Sendai in 1986 and lives and works in Tokyo.
She earned a master's degree in photography at Musashino Art University in 2012.
Her series Known Unknown shows women in their homes and workplaces. Their faces are not clearly visible. The series grew out of the 2011 earthquake in Japan.
Fugensha published the book Known Unknown in 2024. She won the 23rd Miki Jun Award for the series in 2022. In 2025 she won the Grand Prix of ZOOMS JAPAN.
