Wei Jian Chan

Wei Jian Chan is a Singaporean photographer based in the United Kingdom whose work explores themes of migration, identity, estrangement, and belonging through street photography. Working primarily in black and white, his photographs focus on geometry, shadow, anonymity, and emotionally ambiguous moments found within everyday urban life. His photobook Journey To The West, published by Setanta Books, brings together four years of photographs made across the UK and reflects on his experience of adapting to a new country through editing, sequencing, and visual metaphor.
