Auto-bracketing

Some cameras have a feature that automatically takes a series of images at slightly varied shutter speeds (or aperture settings) from the 'proper exposure' If you doubt the meter reading for a particular subject, use this function. It can also photograph a high dynamic range sequence. HDR Some cameras have autoflash, ISO, and white balance bracketing.
