Panoramic photography

Photography with a very wide field of view, usually much wider than it is tall. A panorama can be made with a special panoramic camera or by joining several photographs together.

Panoramic cameras with rotating lenses existed already in the 19th century. Today most panoramas are stitched in software or made with a phone's panorama mode. Common aspect ratios are 2:1, 3:1 or wider.
