A fast black and white film made by Kodak, introduced in 1940 as sheet film and in 35 mm and roll film in the 1950s. Its standard speed is ISO 400.
Tri-X is famous for its grain, wide exposure latitude and tolerance for push processing (see push/pull processing). It was the film of choice for many photojournalists and street photographers in the second half of the 20th century, and it is still made today.
