A camera with two lenses of the same focal length, one above the other. The top lens shows the image on a focusing screen through a mirror, and the bottom lens takes the picture. It is often shortened to TLR.
The photographer usually looks down into the camera from waist level, which makes it quiet and unobtrusive. The Rolleiflex, introduced in 1929, made the design famous. Vivian Maier made much of her street work with a Rolleiflex.
