About éditions Lamaindonne
Founded in 2011 by David Fourré, éditions Lamaindonne is an independent photobook publisher based in Marcillac-Vallon, in southern France. After more than twenty years working in publishing and graphic design, Fourré turned his passion for photography into a publishing house devoted to intimate, human-focused visual storytelling. From the beginning, lamaindonne has built a strong reputation with carefully curated titles by photographers such as Gabrielle Duplantier, Ljubisa Danilovic, Gilles Roudière, and Gaël Bonnefon.
Lamaindonne publishes only a few books each year, allowing Fourré to maintain a selective and instinctive editorial approach. Text is used sparingly, with the focus placed on the sequencing and power of the images themselves. The publisher’s work has been widely recognized, earning the Prix HiP—Publisher of the Year in 2019, and is supported by France PhotoBook and the Occitanie region. (Website, Instagram, Facebook)
