Bill Ward
Bill Ward is a British actor and photographer, born and raised in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. As a photographer, he is self-taught and has been making photographs since he was 6 years old. His work focuses mainly on landscape, water, time, movement, and the emotional feeling of being in a place.
Since 2012, Ward has become one of the UK’s leading voices in Intentional Camera Movement and in-camera multiple exposure. He has won several photography awards, including the Adobe Prize at UK Landscape Photographer of the Year and Best Seascape at Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year. He is also a Brand Ambassador for Pentax Cameras and Ricoh Imaging, a Pro-Team member for 3 Legged Thing, and a tour and workshop leader for Light and Land.
Alongside photography, Ward has had a long acting career in theatre, television, and film. He is known for roles in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Vera, Before We Die, and many stage productions across the UK. His photography often works as a quieter counterpoint to life in the public eye, exploring the wonder of the natural world and the time we spend inside it. (Website, Instagram, Facebook)
