David Katzenstein

David Katzenstein is a New York-based photographer whose work has taken him across the world for more than five decades. His photography moves between documentary work, portraiture, street photography, performance, and studies of everyday life, with a continuing interest in people and human relationships. Over the years, he has worked on personal projects as well as assignments for cultural, corporate, and philanthropic organizations.

Katzenstein has published four monographs: Ritual (2022), Distant Journeys (2024), Brownie (2025), and between one and another (2026). He is also the managing editor of the Barkley L. Hendricks Photography Archive. (Website, Instagram)
