Blue hour

The period of twilight shortly before sunrise and after sunset, when the sun is just below the horizon. The sky turns deep blue and the light is soft and even.

Blue hour is popular for city, architecture and landscape photography, because artificial lights and the blue sky can be balanced in one exposure. It usually lasts a short time. Compare golden hour.
