Photo editor

A person who selects, orders and commissions photographs for a magazine, newspaper, agency, website or book. It is also called a picture editor.

Photo editors choose which images are published, work with photographers on assignments and help shape the sequencing of a story. The term can also mean editing software, but in publishing it usually means the job.
