Zine

A small, self-published magazine or booklet, usually made in a short print run and at low cost. The word comes from fanzine.

Photographers use zines to share projects quickly and cheaply, to test sequencing and to reach readers without a publisher. Zines are sold at book fairs, online and in independent bookshops. See also photobook.
