Lisa Cutler

Lisa Cutler is a New York–based photographer working with landscape, street, and portrait photography. She is best known for her long-term documentary projects, especially her photographic series made in Red Hook, Brooklyn, where she spent more than two years exploring the built environment and its changing everyday details. Cutler’s work has been recognized with awards including Le Prix de la Photographie Paris and the Julia Margaret Cameron Award, and her photographs have been exhibited in galleries around the world. In 2025 her first photobook, The Hook: A Photographic Journey Through Red Hook, Brooklyn, was published by Kehrer Verlag in Germany and premiered at Paris Photo. Her practice continues to investigate architecture, space, and how they shape human experience through careful observation and formal composition. (Website)
