Marina Sersale

Marina Sersale is an Italian photographer born and raised in Rome. Before returning to photography in late 2012, she worked as a documentary filmmaker, a background that shaped her sensitivity to image, atmosphere, and human presence. Her work often explores the quiet tension between the familiar and the uncertain.

Sersale’s photography was first presented in 2015 in the exhibition Chance Encounters at N.6 Gallery in Tehran, curated by Hikari Creative. In 2016, she held her first solo exhibition at ILEX Gallery in Rome, followed by other solo and group exhibitions internationally. Her book Liminal Space was published by GOST Books in 2026.
