Mark Cornick

Mark Cornick is a UK-based abstract and contemporary landscape photographer working primarily along coastal locations. Based in Surrey, his work focuses on using intentional camera movement to create images that move beyond traditional landscape photography and into abstraction.

He has developed a distinctive visual approach built around colour, motion, and atmosphere, often returning to the same locations over long periods of time to explore how light, weather, and movement shape the final image. His projects are grounded in repetition and observation rather than single moments, allowing his work to evolve slowly into cohesive bodies of work.

Alongside his photographic practice, Cornick places strong emphasis on the connection between photography and well-being. His work reflects an interest in the coast as a place for reflection, calm, and mental reset, which also informs his workshops and teaching. He is also an ambassador for Sigma Imaging and Lee Filters. (Website, Instagram)
