Melonie Bennett
Melonie Bennett is a photographer based in Maine whose work focuses on family life, humour, chaos, vulnerability, and the emotional complexity of everyday relationships. After graduating from the Maine College of Art with a BFA in Photography, she worked as an assistant to photographer Judy Glickman Lauder and later developed her own long-term documentary practice centered around the people closest to her. Her photographs have appeared in more than sixty exhibitions in the United States and internationally, and work from Holy Cow! has been exhibited alongside photographers such as Richard Avedon, Sally Mann, and Gordon Parks in the travelling exhibition PRESENCE: The Photography Collection of Judy Glickman Lauder. Bennett’s photography combines dark humour, intimacy, and emotional honesty, turning ordinary family moments into images that feel both deeply personal and strangely universal. (Website)
