Valery Rizzo

Valery Rizzo is a Brooklyn-based photographer known for intimate and personal work that focuses on community, place, and everyday life. She has shot portraits, food, lifestyle, travel, and street photography, and her images have appeared in print and online around the world. Rizzo’s work has been shown at venues such as the Museum of the City of New York, Photoville, and the Powerhouse Arena, and she was a finalist in the 2021 Urban Book Awards and Urban Photo Awards in Italy. Her new book Wonderland: Brooklyn 2007–2023 brings together sixteen years of photographs made with simple cameras in her hometown, documenting how the city’s streets and people have shifted over time.
