About Aint Bad Publisher
Aint–Bad is an independent publisher of contemporary art, with a focus on photography. Founded in Savannah, Georgia, in 2011 by Carson Sanders, Taylor Curry, Caitie Moore, and James Jackman, the collective aims to support a progressive community of artists through printed publications, exhibitions, and online features.
The publication produces a quarterly periodical that addresses specific cultural themes and promotes emerging photographers. Aint–Bad has been recognized for its commitment to showcasing thought-provoking imagery and fostering critical conversations about the human condition.
Emerald Arguelles, an American photographer known for exploring and celebrating Black America, serves as the editor-in-chief of Aint–Bad. Her work emphasizes community and self-expression, drawing inspiration from her upbringing in a Southern beauty salon. Arguelles uses her platform at Aint–Bad to highlight and connect with emerging artists, emphasizing the importance of collaboration.
