Augusto De Luca
Augusto De Luca is an Italian photographer and performer born in Naples in 1955. After classical studies and a degree in law, he became a professional photographer in the mid-1970s. His work moves between traditional photography and experimentation, with strong attention to framing, form, and the smallest expressive details inside an image. His photographs often combine clear realism with more symbolic and metaphysical elements. De Luca has exhibited in Italy and internationally, and his work is included in public and private collections, including the International Polaroid Collection, the National Library of Paris, the Municipal Photographic Archive of Rome, the National Gallery of Aesthetic Arts of China in Beijing, and the Museum of Photography of Charleroi in Belgium.
