David Cruz

David Cruz is a Los Angeles–based film photographer originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, known for his long-term work exploring the night streets of LA in his Semiotic Nights project. Born into a Mixteco family, he moved to Los Angeles as a child and has been shooting on 35mm film since the early 2000s. Cruz also works as a film wedding photographer under the name The Drunk Wedding Photographer, bringing a quiet, honest approach to documenting real moments in everyday life.
