Deirdre O’Callaghan
Deirdre O’Callaghan is an Irish photographer and filmmaker whose work explores music, communities, and the relationships between people and their environments. Born in County Cork, she moved to London at a young age, where she became part of the original team behind Dazed & Confused magazine, an experience that shaped her early connection to music and youth culture.
Over the past two decades, she has built a body of work that moves between editorial assignments and long-term personal projects, often focusing on communities that exist slightly outside the mainstream. Her first book Hide That Can followed residents of Arlington House in London and received international recognition, while her later work continues to explore themes of access, trust, and belonging.
