Donna Wesley Spencer

Donna Wesley Spencer is a fine art photographer whose lifelong interest in art, history, and nature shapes her work. She studied photography at the Evanston Art Center, in workshops, and at the Penland School of Craft, and she was a founding member and past president of Perspective Gallery in Evanston, Illinois. Her practice includes alternative printing processes like platinum palladium and vellum over gold leaf, particularly for Southern landscapes and birds. A dedicated birder, her interest in wildlife preservation led to Recover & Release, a project made over two years inside wildlife rehabilitation centers. She lives in a small town in North Carolina.
