Huntington Witherill
Huntington Witherill is an American fine art photographer and visual artist whose career spans more than fifty years. Born in Syracuse, New York, in 1949, he initially trained in classical music before shifting to two-dimensional design and then photography in 1970. Early in his career he studied with photographers such as Ansel Adams and Wynn Bullock, and since 1975 his work has been shown in over one hundred individual and group exhibitions worldwide. His photography ranges from landscapes and botanical still life to urban architecture and abstract digital collage, and his work has been the subject of multiple award-winning monographs including Orchestrating Icons, Botanical Dances, and Photo Synthesis. He has also taught extensively and continues to explore new photographic processes from his home on the Monterey Peninsula in California. (Website)
