Judith Black

Judith Black is an American photographer who has worked with family life and self portraiture for more than forty years. She began photographing seriously while studying at MIT, where she discovered that the most meaningful subjects were the people and routines in her own home. Her work focuses on domestic spaces, memory, and the small moments that shape daily life.

Judith has exhibited widely in the United States and abroad, and her photographs are held in major museum collections including the Museum of Modern Art and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. She taught photography at Wellesley College for more than two decades and continues to be known for her thoughtful, intimate approach to the everyday. (Website, Instagram)
