Keiko Nomura
Keiko Nomura is a Japanese photographer known for her deeply personal and poetic work exploring themes of memory, identity, nature, and womanhood. She was born in Kobe in 1970 and studied photography in both Osaka and Los Angeles.
Her career began with Deep South, a project based on Okinawa, which gained wide recognition and critical praise. Since then, she has published several books and exhibited her work in Japan and internationally.
Nomura often works with film and uses color, atmosphere, and symbolic imagery to express inner emotions and invisible connections between people and places.
