Ken Werner
Ken Werner is an acclaimed photographer and storyteller whose work has been featured in prestigious publications such as Camera 35, Modern Photography, and Asahi Camera. His photographs are part of the permanent collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. A former Editorial Director of the award-winning Darkroom Photography magazine, Werner has been a driving force in the evolution of traditional film photography as both an art form and a craft. Over his 50-year career, he has documented everything from San Francisco’s vibrant street culture to global travel destinations, collaborating with clients like JAL, Cathay Pacific, and Mandarin Hotels. Werner’s iconic photobook Halloween: A Fantasy in Three Acts stands as a testament to his unique ability to blend artistry, activism, and narrative, immortalizing the chaotic beauty of San Francisco’s Halloween celebrations in the late 1970s. He currently divides his time between the United States and Australia, continuing to inspire photographers and creatives worldwide.
