Larson & Shindelman
Nate Larson and Marni Shindelman have worked together since 2007 to explore the connection between digital information and the physical world. They began tracking geolocated tweets at a time when social media still felt new and full of promise. Over the years, they have documented how these platforms became tools for both connection and control. Their long-term project, Geolocation, and the book Gratitude / Благодарность follow tweets to the places they were sent from, turning digital messages into photographs that ask hard questions about politics, propaganda, and the power of individual voices. Together, their work has been shown at major museums and covered by outlets like Wired, NPR, and The New York Times. (natelarson.com, larson-shindelman.com, Instagram)
