Lewis Ableidinger
Lewis Ableidinger (b. 1983) is a photographer from Kensal, North Dakota. He began photographing in 1998, first focusing on old grain elevators before expanding his work to small towns, rural landscapes, and other subjects across the Midwest. He studied Graphic Communications and Jazz Performance at Minnesota State University Moorhead while continuing to develop his photography. Since 2008, he has also worked as a locomotive engineer and currently lives in Harvey, North Dakota. His books include Abode of Iron Desolation, self-published in 2022, and Driving Through Flyover Country, published by Subjectively Objective in 2023. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions across the United States. (Website, Instagram)
