Marjolein Martinot

Marjolein Martinot is a self-taught Dutch photographer based in France, deeply committed to exploring the poetic nuances of everyday life while remaining sincerely authentic.

From an early age, she carried a camera, but only after her fifth child was born did she begin to approach photography as an artistic pursuit. Her tools include various analogue cameras, Mamiya 7II & C330, Rolleiflex, Nikon F6, and Leica M6, and she often shoots in both black-and-white and colour. Her work centres on family, friends, and the quiet, everyday moments that resonate emotionally. She mixes portraits and spontaneous scenes to capture mood, light, and the passage of time.

Marjolein has studied with respected workshop leaders, Vanessa Winship, George Georgiou, Christian Caujolle and has exhibited widely. (Website, Instagram)
