Patrick Lefèvre

Patrick Lefèvre is a French photographer whose work moves between realism and poetry. Born in France in 1983, he began taking photographs at a young age and never stopped exploring how places shape emotion. His images often focus on quiet spaces, forgotten industrial areas, and open landscapes where time seems to slow down. Rather than chasing dramatic moments, Lefèvre searches for atmosphere, the soft light, the silence, and the sense of distance that turn ordinary scenes into something contemplative.

In his early projects, he photographed local surroundings in France, creating studies of architecture, human traces, and stillness. Over time, his work became more minimalist, influenced by painting and pictorial traditions, where the feeling of light mattered more than technical perfection. Vetur, published by Kehrer Verlag in 2024, marks a new chapter in this direction. Taken during a February journey through Iceland, the series captures vast, frozen landscapes and roads crossing empty plains. The images show how simplicity and control of exposure can turn a cold, harsh environment into a place of quiet emotion and beauty. (Instagram)
