Pixy Liao

Pixy Liao is a Shanghai born artist currently living and working in Tokyo. Her work has been shown around the world in institutions such as the Art Institute of Chicago, Fotografiska, Rencontres d’Arles, the Asia Society, and the National Gallery of Australia. She has received several major awards, including the NYFA Fellowship in Photography, the Santo Foundation Individual Artist Award, and the Madame Figaro Women Photographers Award. Liao has taken part in a wide range of artist residencies, including programs at Light Work, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, the Center for Photography at Woodstock, the University of the Arts London, the School of Visual Arts, Pioneer Works, and the Camera Club of New York.
