Stanley Greenberg

Stanley Greenberg is a New York City based photographer known for his long-term, deeply researched projects focused on hidden systems, urban, scientific, and architectural. Over the past 30 years, his work has explored environments ranging from underground water tunnels and gas infrastructure to particle accelerators, scientific labs, natural springs, and civic architecture.

His photographs have been featured in solo exhibitions at the MIT Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, Deutsche Bank Gallery, and SI Fest in Italy, and in group exhibitions at institutions such as the Whitney Museum, the Museum of the City of New York, SFMOMA, and the Brooklyn Museum.

Greenberg is the author of several acclaimed books, including Invisible New York, Waterworks, Architecture Under Construction, and Codex New York. He has received a Guggenheim Fellowship, two NEA Visual Artists Fellowships, an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Book Grant, and support from the New York State Council on the Arts.

He studied art history at SUNY Stony Brook and holds a Master of Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. (Website, Instagram)
