Thomas Boivin
Thomas Boivin is a Paris-based photographer whose work is mainly rooted in the north-east of Paris and its suburbs. Working mostly in black and white, he pays close attention to portraits, the human figure, and the quiet presence of people in the city.
His photography follows a simple but demanding approach. Rather than searching for spectacle, Boivin focuses on faces, gestures, and the singularity of each encounter. He has published three books with Stanley/Barker and received the Grande Commande Photojournalisme from the BNF, as well as the CNAP 2024 documentary photography support.
His work is held in several collections, including Neuflize OBC, the Florence and Damien Bachelot Collection, the Paris Collection, Le Château d’Eau, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, and Fondation A Stichting. Boivin makes his own prints and is represented in Paris by Galerie Les Douches. (Website, Instagram)
