Tsubasa Kawaguchi

Tsubasa Kawaguchi is a Japanese photographer born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1999. He graduated from Tokyo Visual Arts in 2021 and received the Grand Prix at the second Fugensha Photography Award in 2022. His debut photobook, Breathless, was published by Fugensha in 2023. Kawaguchi is based in Tokyo, where he continues his artistic practice while working at a bookbinding company. His photography explores memory, time, the unconscious, and the point at which deeply personal experiences can begin to feel universal. (Website)
