Zak van Biljon
Zak van Biljon is a South African-born landscape and fine art photographer, now based in Zurich, Switzerland, and shooting since 1998.
He studied at the Cape Town School of Photography, with a focus on black-and-white printing, and later at the National College of Photography, before moving to Europe in 2004.
Best known for his near-infrared landscapes, van Biljon explores how perception changes when photography records light beyond what the eye can see, turning familiar terrain into vivid, unexpected colour. His work often circles themes like reality vs. interpretation, and the shifting relationship between nature, urban life, and technology. (Website, Instagram, Likedin)
