Jonathan Jasberg
Jonathan Jasberg is an American street and documentary photographer who has been living nomadically since 2010, photographing life in over 60 countries. With a background in filmmaking and a former career in software development, Jasberg brings a cinematic sensibility and a thoughtful, process-driven approach to his photography. His work is known for its layered compositions, emotional subtlety, and the ability to find quiet, human moments in chaotic environments.
Jasberg’s photography has earned more than 40 international awards and has been exhibited in the United States, Europe, and Asia. He is particularly drawn to long-term personal projects and often returns to the same cities such as Kyoto, Kolkata, and Cairo to build deeper visual narratives.
Whether teaching workshops or pursuing his own work, Jasberg emphasizes curiosity, presence, and a willingness to take creative risks. He continues to travel full-time with just a camera and a carry-on. (Website, Instagram)
