Gianluca Mortarotti
Gianluca Mortarotti, is a self-taught photographer based in London, UK.
The roots of his interest in photography lie in his father's work, from developing films in darkroom at a very young age to wedding photography works, introduced him at first to the world of photography.
After his studies in architecture and building engineering, the Roman photographer focused on life in cities by capturing candid moments and exploring urban contrasts and its failure in human connections.
In 2021 his work has been selected among the winning images of the Life Framer competition (World Travelers category).
In 2021 he self-published his first book “LSD – Lockdown Street Diary”, a collection of street photographs that showcases fragments of life before, during, and after the lockdown in London capturing the complexities of everyday life in this unprecedented time.
