Paul Nicklen
Paul Nicklen is a Canadian photographer, filmmaker, and marine biologist known for his striking images of the polar regions and the life that inhabits them. His work blends art, science, and storytelling to inspire a deeper understanding of our planet’s fragile ecosystems. Over the past three decades, he has documented wildlife in some of the most remote and challenging environments on Earth, often spending weeks in freezing conditions to capture moments of genuine connection with animals in their natural habitats.
Nicklen’s photographs have appeared in National Geographic and other major publications, earning him more than thirty international awards, including the World Press Photo and Wildlife Photographer of the Year. He is also a co-founder of SeaLegacy, an organization dedicated to ocean conservation through visual storytelling.
