Fugensha is a bookstore cafe, contemporary art gallery and art book publisher in Meguro, Tokyo. It was established on 22 November 2014 as a communication space by Watanabe Art Printing, a printing company founded in 1950 by Minoru Watanabe. The company added a publishing department in 2016. Fugensha handles production, sales and distribution of its books and focuses mainly on photo books and art books that use printing techniques. The gallery changes exhibitions every two or three weeks, and artists sometimes talk about their work. The cafe serves self-roasted coffee, and visitors can read books before buying them. The space also holds author talks, performing arts events and workshops.
